Racial Anxiety and Behavioral Health Services is an online training session for Baltimore behavioral health providers that will take place on Tuesday, June 8 from 10:00 am - 11:30 am
This training will help social workers, counselors, peer specialists and other behavioral health workers better understand the effects of racism in the delivery and effectiveness of behavioral health services. Many minority groups have been affected by different forms of racism thus creating anxiety. The training will explore what racial anxiety looks like, what forms microaggressions can take, and why race matters. Participants will gain increased self-awareness and cultural competence to better serve consumers.
