VPN for Beginners - Webinar (08/31/21)

A VPN or Virtual Private Network allows a user to create a private network within a public or larger network. More people are asking about them and how they can be beneficial. 
Using a VPN can help increase functionality for telecommuting and overall security to the user. During this session, we will explore:
  • VPN Basics
  • Evaluation points for VPN software
  • Implementation best practices

Virtual Trainer: Diana Silveira

Diana SilveiraDiana Silveira is a librarian and president of Novare Library Services where she works with libraries to develop, implement, and utilize technology effectively. Previously she worked at the Tampa Bay Library Consortium and the Charlotte Mecklenburg, NC Library. She has an MLIS from UNC-Greensboro and a BS in psychology from Catawba College.

Her book Library Technology Planning for Today and Tomorrow is available through Amazon and the Rowman & Littlefield Website.

This is an online class. Access information will be emailed one week ahead.
