Fishing Buddies

5:00pm – 6:30pm
Meet at the fishing pier on the east side of Terra Lake (Near Crown Point Community Center).
Grab a "buddy" and head on out to Terra Lake, Johnston for a fun evening of fishing. The First Catch Center will provide tips and tricks for beginner fishing and will be there to help assist and provide information. If you have your own equipment, please bring it with you. Limited equipment will be available upon request. If you are age 16 and older, you must have an Iowa Fishing License. Event registration is required.

- Purchase your Iowa fishing license.
- Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.
- Bring a water bottle, insect repellant and sunscreen.

Schedule of events - 5:00 - 6:30 pm
Arrive and check in by 5:00.
5:00 - 5:30: FCC staff will help you get set up and ready to fish, and provide instruction as needed.
5:30 - 6:30: Check out loaner equipment and go fishing!
Note: Participants borrowing equipment will need to provide an ID, keys or similar item as collateral.
