ASL Story Time is a fun family activity designed to strengthen literacy skills in both ASL and English.
Our July Story Time features the children's book Colorful Ocean written by Laura Blum and illustrated by Larry Laskowski. This book is part of Laura's rhymes-when-signed book series. Read more about the author and illustrator below.
About the Author
Laura Blum is the author of the Rhymes When Signed series of board books for children and founder of About Love and Language. She has a degree in Family Science with emphasis on Early Childhood Education and is a Nationally Certified American Sign Language interpreter.
About the Illustrator
Larry Laskowski attended The Art Institute of Chicago for three years studying watercolor. He received degrees in Art and Psychology at Gallaudet University. He lives in Cedar City, Utah and is a member and former president of Southern Utah Watercolor Society. You can see more of his work at Blue-Raven-Studio.com.
