Join the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and the PUSO Foundation for an introduction to disaster risk reduction, preparedness, response & recovery in the context of safer shelter practices in the Philippines.

This training is made possible by funding from USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance.

The training will discuss:

  • Understanding and promoting Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and "Build Back Safer" practices which address humanitarian and resilient shelter needs
  • Exploring how the needs of communities in Philippines can be more effectively met through diaspora engagement
  • Engaging diasporas for greater engagement with U.S.-Filipino diaspora members around Build Back Safer programs and coordination mechanisms
