AERIAL WORK PLATFORM SAFETY

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

To provide an understanding of Operator training requirements, before operation inspection, safe operations, aerial lift and scissors lift requirements as well as requisite maintenance requirements for both types.

OBJECTIVES

• Describe the main training topics required for operators.

• Understand those areas and functions which require pre-operational inspection and the reasoning behind said inspections.

• Implement safe operating methods for the two (2) types of lifts described in the program.

• Describe the maintenance requirements for aerial lifts as well as safety issues related to positioning in the field during operations
