Trauma Sensitive Schools: Returning to the Classroom

December 2, 2021

Unaddressed trauma can lead to violence, and in turn, providing support for students who have experienced trauma can prevent violence and create stronger communities. While focusing on trauma in the context of returning to school after remote learning, this workshop will define trauma, give examples of how it can manifest in the classroom and school building, and offer practical tips on how educators can incorporate a trauma-sensitive lens into their teaching style.

Participants will receive 3 PD credits upon completion of the 3 hour workshop. You will be required to fill out a short survey after the workshop and will not be given a certificate without completion of the survey.

This workshop is free for educators.

Please note that this workshop is online and not an in person training. We will be hosting this event via Zoom. You will need access to a camera and microphone for this workshop.

"NO SHOW" Policy: If you register and do not attend the workshop, we will notify you that you have been placed on the "No Show" list. Should this occur THREE times, you will be removed from our email list and all future registrations will be cancelled.

Since spots are very limited, we ask that if you cannot make it to the workshop, you please cancel with us at any time up to the day before so that others have the opportunity to attend and you not be placed on the "No Show" list.
