Guided PaddleCross Tour
Are you registered for this 2021 PaddleCross Challenge, but want to get a feel for the course? Not quite ready to register, but would like to explore the course first, with some safety support on hand? Join Willamette River Festival trip leaders for a no drop paddle up the Alton Baker Canoe Canal to Eastgate Woodlands in Springfield, and back downriver on the mighty Willamette, to Alton Baker Park.
Along the way, paddlers will discuss strategy, get support on portages, and have some safety support while travelling downstream through the rapids. Plan to meet promptly at 5PM at the Alton Baker Canoe Canal. This is a BYOB (bring your own boat) event. If you don’t have your own gear, please check with Willamalane Parks & Recreation District, University of Oregon Outdoor Program, or Oregon Paddle Sports for more information about their rental programs.
