Innsbrook Foundation presents "A Need For Leaders"  

Myra Goodman Smith has served as the President and CEO of Leadership Metro Richmond since July 2010. LMR connects diverse community leaders, increases their knowledge and perspectives on regional issues, and prepares them for greater service.  LMR graduates are engaged in every sector in our region governing, leading, and creating a positive impact.  

She has held executive leadership positions in the nonprofit sector for over 30 years including 23 years with United Way. Prior to that time, Myra worked as an institutional researcher and an economic development planner. 

Today, she serves on the advisory board of VCU LEAD and as Board Chair of the Jenkins Foundation, a health legacy foundation. In 2020, Myra received the YWCA Outstanding Women Award for Nonprofit Leadership and recognized as a Person of the Year by the Richmond Times-Dispatch.  

Myra holds a bachelor's degree in Urban Studies and Planning and a Master of Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a graduate of Leadership Metro Richmond Class of 2006.
