HOW MINDFULNESS INFORMS RACIAL EQUITY, SOCIAL JUSTICE, TRAUMA, & INCLUSION, A 3-PART SERIES

In this three-part series, Dr. Magee shares how mindfulness can address equity, social justice and trauma to heal communities using practices and activities described in her book, "The Inner Work of Racial Justice". Beginning with a 1.5-hr introduction on Sept. 28 and a 3-hr workshop on Oct. 2, the series concludes in the winter with a 1-hr Q & A.

Event FAQ's 

What is the cost of this series?

The cost of this series for an individual is $75.00.  For a group of five or more participants from a school or organization, a discount of 20% will be applied to the registration ($60.00) . For a school or organization who may want to register a large number of their staff, please contact us for a different price accomodation.

Scholarships, Funding Options and Student Rates 

GEERS/ESSER funds can be used to cover registration for this webinar workshop. Given the low cost of this series, we do not antiicpate awarding many scholarships. Please do contact us in the event of severe financial hardship and provide reasons for the request. 

How I will get my Zoom Link?

You will receive your Zoom link for each event in the series, 15 minutes before the event begins. If you are registering as a school or organization, please give the email of the organizer for your event who will received the Zoom link to send out to participants. 

May I just register for webinar or workshop?

No. This event is priced as a series at this very low rate.

What if I cannot attend the webinar date?

The webinar recording will be available for viewing through Saturday AM, Oct 2, 8:00 am.  You may schedule to watch this recording on your own any time before the workshop or on another afternoon as a group with your colleagues. The recording is only available to those who registered for the event and non-transferable.

Will a recording of the workshop be available afterwards if I cannot attend on Oct 2?  

The workshop is intended to be interactive, so right now, we are not planning to send a recording of it post workshop. For those who do attend on Oct 2, we will make the workshop recording available for review for up to 2 weeks after the event.

Do I need to read Dr. Magee’s book, The Inner Work of Racial Justice, in advance to attend?

No. You do not need to read or purchase her book in advance for the workshop. We do encourage you to however purchase and read this book. It is very well written and your practice at the workshop may be enriched by this material.

What Continuing Education Credits are offered?

We are planning to offer SCECH's for educators and social work CEU's for this event. A small extra fee will be charged for those requesting them ($10.00 for Scech's and $15.00 for CEU's) on the registration form. 

Can I register for more than one person?

Yes. Please list all the email addresses of each participant in the registration form so that they will receive the Zoom link to the event.  If you are registering more than one person, make sure to indicate each individual's preference for CEU's or SCECH'S.

What is the refund policy?

No refunds will be issued for this event.

When will I recieve the Zoom link to the event?

You will receive the Zoom link 15 minutes prior to the event.
