Sharing Best Practice

ABOUT WORKSHOP 2:
This session is a follow on from Workshop 1 of the series - Mental Health Well-being Awareness: Enhancing General Understanding.
This workshop builds on the knowledge gained in Workshop 1 and introduces expert practitioners who will share best practice and innovations in mental health well-being Policy & Procedure, Communication Strategies and Student Support.
In this 3.5 hour workshop you will join break-out groups where you will review your own understanding of mental health well-being and consider what best practice might look like within your own work setting. You will undertake self-assessment and develop an action plan.
Workshop Outcomes:
- To provide participants the opportunity to consider what mental health well-being best practice might look like in an educational context
- To increase awareness of the mental health challenges students face, and to hear about current and relevant strategies and processes to monitor and refer students in need, including external support channels
- To empower participants through a self-assessment and action planning process for flow-on activities to better care for and assist students
- To add value to the student experience and enhance the supportive study environment Perth has to offer

We have organised these workshops as a two-part series, therefore, we strongly recommend you register for both workshops as Workshop One and Workshop Two complement each other. If you cannot register for both workshops, it is advised that you nominate a proxy from your institution to represent you at the workshop you are unable to attend.
