The Beth Shalom

High Holiday Packet

We look forward to celebrating the New Year and Yom Kippur with you. The High Holidays are made up of several holy days and are a time for refreshing, renewing and asking for forgiveness. The choices in this packet are designed to help enhance your experience and make it more meaningful for you and your whole family.

It takes tremendous preparation and coordination by our Clergy, staff, Board of Trustees, volunteers and security to provide a safe and uplifting spiritual experience for our congregants during the High Holidays. Thank you to all who help make our holidays successful.

To assist the office in processing your requests, please complete this registration as soon as possible.

We firmly believe that it is our ethical and religious obligation to become vaccinated as soon as eligible. We are committed to providing safe and comfortable options for the inclusion and participation of all members of our congregational community, whose situations and comfort levels may vary.

The following guidelines will help ensure safe and meaningful in-person services:

  • Registration to attend in person is required. Space is limited this year due to social distancing. Please make sure you register everyone in your party.
  • Everyone who is eligible for the vaccine must be vaccinated in order to attend services in the main sanctuary.
  • Students ineligible to be vaccinated in K-7 can attend services in the main sanctuary and must sit with parents/guardians.
  • Masks are required at all times everywhere for everyone in our main building and for those aged two and older in Tot and Family Services in our Education Wing.
  • In the main sanctuary, socially distanced pods of four chairs will be set up. Chairs can be moved between pods to accommodate larger groups. This same set up will be used for the Family service.
  • There will be a separate entrance for families attending Family Service.
  • Tot service is at 3:00 pm when the building will be less crowded .

Services will also continue to be accessible on Zoom and Livestream for those who prefer to join virtually. You do not need to register for virtual services. Links are available at www.beth-shalom.net.
