The objective of the AIAA Southern California Aerospace Systems and Technology (SoCal ASAT) Conference is to bring together seasoned and new engineers, researchers, leaders, managers, academics, and students, and provide a forum to exchange new ideas, review achievements, and chart a new course for aerospace in the local area. There will be three keynote speakers, multiple breakout sessions with presentations, a student session, and the AIAA Orange County Section will highlight its activities during the past year. Members as well as non-members are welcome.
Invited Keynote Speakers
- Morning: Dr. Mir Sadat
As National Security Council policy director, Dr. Sadat supported the establishment of both the U.S. Space Force and U.S. Space Command. He has served in senior policy positions as a naval officer with intelligence and space qualifications, and as editor-in-chief of Space Force Journal.
- Afternoon: Bob Hodgkiss
Atlas V Program Manager from January 2003 to May 2005, Vice Commander/Deputy Director of the Launch and Range Wing/Directorate from July 2008 to June 2011, EELV Program Director from June 2011 to November 2014.
