Equine Musculosksletal Unwinding is a registered modality with the International Institute or Complementary Therapists. This means that the Holistic Horseworks program, put together by April Love, is recognized as a modality in its own right.

This registration provides the modality with an extra layer of credibility while opening new doors to our students, practitioners, and instructors. Soon we hope also to be able to offer continuing education credits.

For future students who wish to turn this into a profession, you can now join IICT and get cheaper insurance while you train with us to become a practitioner!

Our Revolutionary Technique

Over decades of study, research, and practice, we have found that most body issues in horses stem from an unaddressed 1st rib misalignment, which is actually seen in most horses today.
This can start as early as 3 months of age! (How old is your horse now?) This creates all sorts of issues that throw the horse's body out of balance. In our Level 1 Equine Musculoskeletal Unwinding Course, we will be covering diagnosing and treating 1st rib misalignment issues along with a variety of other hidden imbalances.

Here are samples of the techniques and material we will be reviewing live at this clinic...

What Students Are Saying

"This knowledge has changed my life and my horses life. I have owned my horse for 14 years and we have never been as close as we are now. He also is the happiest and healthiest he has ever been. [Holistic Horsework's] methods are great and have definitely changed the way I view my relationships with horses. I am also a riding instructor and I love that I can now work on the lesson horses and make then more comfortable as they do such an important job. Thank you for sharing all your hard earned talents with all of us. The horses thank you as well!”

– Laura Gageby, Fishers, Indiana

“I was fortunate enough to participate in the Level 1, “Equine Musculoskeletal Unwinding” three-day workshop that took place over a recent September weekend.

It was a fascinating adventure in learning how to transform a horse in a short period of time. Riley is a nearly 17 hands high senior Thoroughbred. Among other issues, his back was in spasms and I learned how to relax all the muscles in the loin area just with my fingers to give him some much needed relief. He felt so much better after I worked on him as did the 15 other horses that our small but enthusiastic group of people helped.

One of my favorite horses that I worked on was a 30 year-old chestnut mare that thought she was a worthless bag of bones when she came into the round pen. I did some trapped emotion releasing for her and practiced the Equine Musculoskeletal Unwinding techniques. Before long she looked like a million dollars, proud and fluffed up with a new lease on life. It was so very rewarding and heartfelt to see her newly found pride... the improvement was vast."

About the Instructor

*~ Lynn Reed of Balanced Equine Solutions ~*

Lynn is a practitioner of complementary and alternative therapies. She pours her heart, mind and soul into the constant learning of alternative treatments to better help our equine friends maintain their health and vitality so that we may spend more years riding and loving our equine partners.

In 2011, her equine partner, Bo, of 17 years began having health issues at the age of 21. The thought of retiring Bo was heart breaking and she started seeking out ways to help him. In the summer of 2011 she discovered April Battles of Holistic Horse Works who’s ad stated, “Add 10 years to your horse’s life.” Immediately she signed up for her and Bo to go to a clinic with this woman that was going to help her keep her horse healthy!

This 3 day clinic spring boarded her into a relentless pursuit of natural healing! She is now an endorsed practitioner with Holistic Horse works in Level One, Two and Three. In 2017, she completed her Instructor training and now teaches Level 1 and 2.
