UAS Bridging the GAP

This presentation highlights key UAS and rope access technologies as sophisticated data gathering tools for asset management showcased through multiple case studies involving cable-supported structures, fracture monitoring, rehabilitation, and health monitoring. Whether a bridge inspection, network-wide system evaluation, or load rating these technologies provide new opportunities for engineers ultimately saving owners, agencies, and the public considerable time and money.

H&H will discuss technical aspects of two recent bridge projects that include post-tensioned segmental concrete elements: the I-59/I-20 Elevated Interstate Bridge in Birmingham, AL and the Sarah Mildred Long Vertical Lift Bridge over the Piscataqua River between Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, ME.
