This webinar will explore facilitation techniques your library can use to engage youth (or anyone, really) in activities and discussion, whether in person or virtually.

You will learn to:

  • Understand effective strategies for engaging people in discussions and activities.
  • Learn specific facilitation techniques that are effective for leading and managing groups.
  • Troubleshoot a few potential challenges that may occur during group activities.

Presenter:
Anna Foote is the Youth Services and School Services Consultant for Northeast Kansas Library System, an agency that provides support to public, school and college/university libraries in 14 counties in the northeast corner of the state. A professional librarian with more than ten years’ experience, she has worked in various roles in the field of youth, teen and family development since 1994. Anna is passionate about serving families’ educational, social and economic needs through libraries. With Bradley Debrick, she co-authored Six Skills by Age Six: Launching Early Literacy at the Library, published in 2016 by Libraries Unlimited.
