OBJECTIVES

  • Give 5 examples of health inequities among Black male youth
  • What are 5 physical and mental health effects of racism among Black male youth
  • Find 3 examples of resilience (bouncing back from adversity) within each “expert” podcast
  • Describe 3 challenges and 3 opportunities for health care professionals in building strong psychotherapy treatment alliances with Black male youth
  • List 5 obstacles to be overcome by white health care professionals in the treatment of psychiatric disorders in Black male youth and their families prior to effective psychopharmacological intervention 


Accreditation:

This enduring material has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Indiana State Medical Association (ISMA) through the joint providership of Community Health Network and the Primary Care Psychiatry Foundation.  Community Health Network is accredited by ISMA to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
