Wild Wonders Wildlife Park & Ambassador Trail September 11th, 2021

The Howell Nature Center believes in the healing power of nature, and looks to be a resource for our community in this difficult time. As such, we are opening the Wild Wonders Wildlife Park, The Welcome Center, Alexandria's NatureScape and Ambassador Trails System! Our community has helped us heal, and we want to be there for you to help you Heal, Grow, be Wild in a healthy responsible way.

Saturdays are Discovery Days!

Join us for a Saturday of family FUN! One of our wildlife experts will lead a tour of our wildlife park. You'll learn about the unique personalities and traits of the animals in our care, and watch our zookeepers give some of the animals enrichment (tasty treats and toys). Meet us in the courtyard at 12:00 PM.

WHAT WILL YOU DISCOVER?

Discover days are included with your daily admission pass.

Walk-ins accepted. Please stop in at the welcome center to register. Pre-register to expedite the check-in process and enjoy a contactless experience.

• To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, the lodges, waterfront, NatureZone, and DTE Energy Raptor Centers will remain CLOSED until further notice.

• No hand washing stations are provided. Please carry hand sanitizer or sanitizing wipes containing at least 60% alcohol, as well as trash bags to carry out used wipes. Our public restrooms will be open and sanitized frequently.

• For the safety of staff and guests, we require that the CDC recommended six foot social distancing protocol MUST be followed by all guests. Due to the gravity of this situation, social distancing will be strictly enforced.

• As always, our wild animal residents are on strict diets, and any outside food can make them VERY sick and even cause death. Please help keep our critters happy and healthy by holding onto your snacks. DO NOT feed the wildlife. Further, please do not cross any barriers and/or attempt to touch any of our wildlife ambassadors. Doing so may lead to injury for you or the creature. Your furry and feathery friends thank you!

SEE YOU SOON!
