The Resource Materials and Technology Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (RMTC-D/HH) is inviting all ESE directors, D/HH coordinators, and/or other district staff identified by the district to attend one of six regional focus groups and roundtables scheduled for this October and November 2021. Please come to whichever focus group/roundtable location that works best for you. The focus groups will target issues related to educating students who are deaf or hard of hearing in Florida. At the conclusion of the six focus groups, RMTC-D/HH will produce a summary report of the findings for the FDOE Bureau of Exceptional Student Education (BESE). Your district’s input is needed!
Following each focus group, a roundtable discussion will take place. The roundtable discussion is a time to allow participants to network and to discuss issues and concerns with each other, as well as possible collaboration and solutions.
At each focus group location, the focus group will take place in the morning, followed by a lunch break, and then the roundtable discussion. All sessions will be from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM local time.
