Join us this November 5th, 6th and 7th In Marble Falls, Texas for the 21st Annual Third Coast event, a 928sRus Porsche 928 event. 

2021 Third Coast

Our event venue is at the Hampton Inn On The Lake, Marble Falls, Texas. Get in and check-in early then head on over to Chili's patio next door before 3p to enjoy a cocktail or two with the early arrivals. Third coast is located in the picturesque and very popular Hill Country. A fun and relaxing get away with something for everyone.

There is no registration fee, but a head count is needed for tours and the Show & Shine Cookout on Sunday.

Event TShirts are free to Porsche 928 Owner/Drivers who attend the event. Additional TShirts are $15 each (includes tax), and can be purchased on the registration page or by emailing us.

Friday, November 5th

- Check into the Hampton Inn and Join us on the patio next door at Chili's until about 2p.

Dinner is on your own. River City Grill and Chili's share the parking lot with the hotel, and Doc's Fish Camp Grill is right across the street, not to mention tons of other places in town.

Wine & Stogies in the parking lot after dinner until the wee hours.

Saturday, November 6th

 9:30a - Mandatory Driver's Meeting in the Hotel Conference Room on the Lobby Level, down the hall from the breakfast area.

-Wine/BEER/BBQ - Fun Run.

No specific plans on a group to COTA. Some will want to leave early to make the most of the day. If you want to form a group come to the briefing at 9.30am in the hotel.

If you signed up for the Saturday COTA event you need to purchase your ticket separately. We advise you to purchase your ticket in advance, it is a little bit cheaper and is a faster entry into the event than if you wait and purchase your ticket at the gate.

WINERY TOUR
Meet for a briefing at 9.30am at the Hotel Conference room as stated above, and head out at 10:00 on Saturday. Our first stop is for group lunch and it is about 45min from the hotel at Mike's on the Loop just north of Fredericksburg.

They are opening early for our group @ 1100, so we won't have to fight any lines. They have great beer/wine/BBQ.

After lunch, we have several options not necessarily in this order. 3 to start with, but we'll have more options to discuss. About 1/2 of those coming want to do the cruise, so those coming feel free to stay with the big group or break off on your own.

Saturday Night Dinner we are providing two different Dining/Restaurant options:
Option (1) - 5:30p Bayview Restaurant. A small group Early Reservation is at 5:30p at Bayview Restaurant, a romantic hilltop restaurant overlooking the bay.  *Available to the first 16 people who respond to this email (roger@928srus.com).

Option (2) - 6:30p Main Group will meet at 6:30p at The Noon Spoon Cafe, who has prepared a special menu for our group. 928sRus has reserved the entire restaurant.  Dinner begins at 6:30p, some awards & certificates will be handed out, and plenty of camaraderie and typical Third Coast revelry. Reminder: Please email Roger@928srus.com to let him know if you will be joining the DFW 3rd Coast caravan, and which dinner you will be joining on Saturday night.  After dinner enjoy visiting with your 928 buddies in the hotel parking lots for more drinks and stogiplenty of car talk.

After dinner join the 928 owners in the lower parking lot of the Hampton Inn for Wine, Stogies and lots of car talk until the wee hours once more.

 Sunday, November 7th 
10am - 928 Show & Shine at the neighboring Johnson Park Ampitheater

A BBQ lunch will be provided by Roger Tyson and 928srus.  A carshow complete with trophies and drawings.  Prizes will also be provided by 928sRus. The Grand Prize for Sundays BBQ raffle will be a 928Docs Front of Engine Harness, made by Uber 928 Specialist Sean Ratts, to fit your personal 928.  Normal Retail price is $725. You must attend the car show and BBQ on Sunday morning and be present to win.

 

Special Note
*Weather is always questionable. You might be in shorts in the morning, rainboots and umbrellas in the afternoon, and jackets & gloves in the evening. It's Texas. Plan for anything & everything.

*BRING a 2-way radio for all group drives.

*Join a driving group from your area on the way to Marble Falls and drive safely.
