Dr. Amber Callis  earned her dental degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. She completed her pediatric residency training at Baylor College of Dentistry and rotated through Children’s Medical Center in Dallas and the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Dr. Callis became board certified in 2009.  After completing her training, Dr. Callis moved to Houston and began working as an associate in a private practice in Sugar Land. After two years working as an associate, she purchased 50% of the practice to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a dental practice owner. Dr. Callis is also a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry.

Dr. Amir Davoody received his dental degree from University of Maryland School of Dentistry and his orthodontic certificate and Master of Dental Sciences from University of Connecticut. Dr. Davoody is a board-certified orthodontist, a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and an active member of the Angle Society of Orthodontists. He was awarded the Thomas Graber Award of Special Merit from American Association of Orthodontists in 2011 for his research on temporary anchorage devices (TADs). He has been living in Houston since 2011 when he started his private practice, Greater Houston Orthodontics. Dr. Davoody is a second-generation orthodontist. He has taken an active role in the education of orthodontics by teaching on a part-time basis at University of Connecticut for six years post-graduation.

Dr. Thomas Pickett is originally from The Woodlands, Texas. He graduated from Trinity University in 2010 and from dental school at UT School of Dentistry in Houston in 2014. Following graduation, Dr. Pickett practiced at several dental offices around Texas including in Nacogdoches, Sealy, and Houston. Additionally, he completed a residency program in Prosthodontics. Dr. Pickett recently returned to his hometown by purchasing an existing practice from a retiring dentist in The Woodlands.

Dr. Katie Stuchlik is a 2015 graduate of The University of Texas School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, Dr. Stuchlik worked as an associate in a large group practice. In 2018, she joined forces with Dr. Lindsey Wendt to create a dental office in her community, Dentistry of the Oaks. Dr. Stuchlik loves all aspects of dentistry but is particularly fond of endodontics. She was awarded the 2020 Texas New Dentist of the Year and was recognized as one of the ADA’s Top 10 Under 10 this year. Dr. Stuchlik is passionate about sharing her start-up experience with Dr. Wendt in hopes it inspires other dentists to become their own boss.

Dr. Lindsey Wendt graduated from The University of Texas School Dentistry in 2015. In Fall of 2018, Dr. Wendt stopped working as an associate where she had the opportunity to buy in and opened a new practice from scratch with her partner Dr. Stuchlik in their neighborhood. Dr. Wendt has her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry and has acquired over 650 hours of CE working towards her Mastership. She is always willing to share her story with other dentists because learning from other wiser dentists is how she got to where she is today.
