What Must DePaul Do to Confront the Climate Crisis?

Entering its 14th year, Lunch with Vincent is a casual, hybrid program for faculty and staff designed to nurture relationships among community members and deepen our understanding of the Vincentian mission. Each gathering, we present a variety of meaningful topics that are inspired by our mission as well as the interesting events of our times. This coming year, Lunch with Vincent will explore the DePaul of the Future: Vincentian Higher Education for the 21st Century.

Our first event this academic year on October 12 will be focused on the question: "What must DePaul do to confront the climate crisis?" We will discuss sustainability, environmental justice, and what we at DePaul must do to confront the ongoing climate crisis.

Leading the discussion will be two members of the President's Committee on Sustainability:

  • Professor Mark Potosnak, Department Chair, Environmental Science and Studies
  • Father Memo Campuzano, CM, Vice President for Mission and Ministry

This program is hybrid: participation is possible both remotely and in person.

  • If you'd like to join us in person, please come to the Student Center Room 314B at 11:30 am where we will serve lunch.
  • If you'd like to join us remotely, please log on to Zoom a little before noon. We will begin broadcasting the presentation at noon. Zoom links to come.
