Finding a New Normal

Facilitated by Marjory Zoet Bankson

How have you experienced this period of pandemic isolation? What did you learn about yourself? Your community? And what makes you feel truly alive right now? Could that be a new call? We will explore those questions in this Zoom retreat.

Not since World War II have we had a global event that touched so many lives. Combined with the environmental crisis, we need a new normal. Truly, creation seems to be groaning “as in childbirth,” writes the Apostle Paul (Rom 8:22), “waiting for the children of God to grow up.” And now, each of us has a chance to take stock of who we are and what we have to give going forward.

To do that, this retreat will offer questions to ponder alone and together, and three simple rituals for releasing the past, claiming the present, and imagining at least a next step into the future.
