Whether you plan to sell a product or service, online or in person, you must have a clear vision of the value that you are offering and who is most likely to buy it. In this second workshop in our Start Up Series, you’ll learn how to use a simple tool that will help you focus on those two critical aspects of your business as well as other important elements that will be the basis for your business plan.

Developed by a professor at Stanford University and now taught at over 200 business schools across the country, the Business Model Canvas is a one page, simple, yet effective vehicle that enables a business owner to envision, test and confirm the critical elements of your business idea and build a business plan.

In this second workshop in the series, a SCORE mentor will show you how to use this tool and demonstrate how other successful businesses have used it. You’ll also learn how to use a remarkable free database to learn who your competitors are and possibly identify some of your target customers.
