Business Certification Workshop Series

Part One: Thursday, November 4th - 10:00am - 12:00pm

Part Two: Thursday, November 18th - 10:00am - 12:00pm

The purpose of this series is educate woman business owners on benefits and incentives associated with certification through the City of Charlotte and NC Hub.

By the end of the workshop series NAWBO membership will have all questions answered, myths debunked, and have a comprehensive understanding of how business certification may impact their businesses. By the end of the second workshop, participants will have their NC HUB application qualifications met for submission.

 Part One: November 4th

• Overview and introduction to the office of economic development and additional resources available to NAWBO membership
• Benefits/incentives of business certification
• Debunking myths and answering questions associate it with maximizing certification opportunities
• Relationship and capacity building to maximize certification
• Explore existing opportunities available specifically for certified businesses that are in various industries

Part Two: November 18th 

• This hands-on workshop will walk participants through the process of acquiring their own NC HUB certification
• Time permitting, participants will also be able to walk through the process of obtaining their City of Charlotte certification. 
• Participants will also be allowed to ask any additional questions. 
• Participants will learn their own commodity codes associated with opportunity and effective vendor registration.
