Keeping Your Nonprofit Going: Compliance and the First
Two Years

*This will be an live online workshop via Zoom*

Starting a nonprofit is more than simply filing papers – there are lots of items to accomplish in the first two years to ensure you are legally compliant, effective at programming, and able to manage the various aspects of your organization. Whether you plan to serve your local community, or the entire world, there are best practices that all nonprofits must follow in order to make an impact.

This workshop will cover the various practices nonprofit start-ups should implement within the first two years of incorporation to increase their chances of having impactful programs, effective management, and good governance.

In this workshop we will go over:

  • Defining and Navigating a Community Problem
  • Building a Strong Board of Directors
  • Crafting Compelling Communications
  • Designing and Measuring Effective Programs
  • Accounting, Taxes, and the IRS

Workshop Fee $50
