This training will provide a basic overview of the essential functions of marketing and customized job development for employment support professionals who work with job seekers who experience disabilities. Along with learning the essential functions of job development, individuals will be introduced to various models and methods successful developers use in their communities.

Learning Objectives:

• Learn to design a customized employment approach for job candidates
• Learn various ways to network, research, cold call and present effective presentations to employers
• Demonstrate the ability to make business introductions, a formal business presentation along with negotiating difficult questions from employers
• Ability to perform informational interviews, and marketing proposals to employers
• Learn how to overcome employer objections.
