DDS Central West Human Rights

Officer/Advocate Training

This class prepares participants to be effective Human Rights Advocates for people they support. It is required for those who will be taking on the role of the Human Rights Officer. Topics covered include the structures and policies within DDS to provide safeguards for the rights of people who receive services and supports, the role and responsibilities of the Human Rights Office, and strategies to empower people to exercise their rights.

This training is offered once per month by the Human Rights Specialist for DDS Central West Region.

It is recommended that you have completed a DDS-approved Basic Human Rights Training within the last 12 months prior to completing this course.

Please limit registration to four people per agency. By chance, should more than four people be registered from the same agency, we may need to cancel those exceeding four. We will make this decision based on the time stamp of the registration entry.

Thank you for joining us for this great training opportunity!
