Alabama vs the New Mexico St...Aggies?

After the stressful game against a weak LSU, Saban has a lot of work. We've heard a lot from him this season about trying to improve consistency. Saban recently pointed out that different parts of the team have been good or "not so good" at times and that the troublesome areas of the team are different each game. Without losing respect for the upcoming opponent, perhaps the 1-8 NMSU Aggies can allow the Tide to slow down and focus on that consistency issue on the feild.

During last weekend's battle, Bryce Young displayed a 64.9% completeion rate, dropping his season average to 69.4%. In the week prior, Coach Saban had said they were working with our QB on accuracy on the deep passes and seeing improvement. In Saban's post game press conference, he praised the defense, but said we need improvement in running, blocking, and 3rd down effectiveness, as well as consistency. There's the key word! 

But like Saban said, "It's always good to beat LSU", so let's enjoy that as we look to the rest of the season.

 

Fun Fact: All of the NMSU Aggies athletic teams have been members of the Western Athletic Conference since 2005, EXCEPT for football which has been independent since 2008.

Another Fun Fact: New Mexico St has a big rivalry game every year with UTEP, which is located just 45 miles south of NMSU on I-10. Like any good rivalry, the annual meetup was given a name, The Battle of I-10.
