Attention conscious readers, seekers, and people curious about emotional balance and health.
This book is one designed for deep discussion, so don’t dare read it alone. Find someone or join us here. My groups are always welcoming, safe and open to those who share those values.
There’s an important new book out and it’s one that needs to be read TOGETHER. It’s one that helps us heal through conscious discussion, sharing and connection. It’s also a book filled with more words to define the human experience of emotion than I have ever been delighted to find. My heart is bursting with excitement about The Atlas of the Heart by one of my favorite authors and podcast host Brene Brown. This book comes at a time when so many of us are looking for safe harbor and a way to tether ourselves to a new and better reality. That safe harbor comes through understanding that we are not alone, owning our complex feelings, connecting with others and allowing words to be part of the healing process.
As an expert and Master Trainer of Emotional Freedom Techniques(EFT), it was immediately exciting to me to find a book that deeply explores the subtle differences in emotion, as well as the words we use to define those feelings. As humans, our highest abilities come through the spoken and written word because words are how we share our experiences. I have been fascinated by research that has revealed that the application of EFT tapping interrupts the stress response and allows more blood to flow to the front of the brain where the verbal abilities reside. Using words with EFT is part of the formula for creating healthy new neuropathways, the software that runs our automatic emotional responses. A book to help everyone recognize and talk about subtle emotional experiences is long overdue. It’s what our world needs right now.
This study group will integrate a variety of processes and self-awareness tools including material from Julia Cameron’s renowned best-seller The Artist’s Way, mind-body awareness, meditation and small group exercises. Whether you are writing a book or starting a business, you’ll re-energize your creativity and release the blocks that hold you back. We’ll use Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) to clear blocks and boost confidence. Participants will connect with personal creativity as it applies to work, business, money-making potential and life, experiencing self-discovery in a variety of ways to expand creative power.

Join me for discussion, sharing and healing self-care interventions as we explore The Atlas of the Heart. We will read approximately 50 pages each week, create a simple structure for noticing our own emotional responses to the material and will gather for 1 hour to connect, share and help to bring the material to life. Activities will include journaling/morning pages, writing prompts, the power of group tapping, with the possibility of continued study and a live gathering for those in the NE Ohio. The group will be limited to a maximum of 16, so don’t delay if you know this is something you want to be part of.
