This is an online event.
Microaggressions are defined as the everyday, subtle, intentional — and oftentimes unintentional — interactions or behaviors that communicate some sort of bias toward historically marginalized groups that are discriminated against or subject to stereotypes.
In a workshop being offered by the Racial Justice Commission of our diocese learn the difference between microaggressions and overt discrimination, explore ways to be more aware of your biases and how these inadvertent actions can have impact on the people we come into contact with.
All clergy are encouraged to take advantage of the workshop. Clergy due for a Safe Church refresher in 2022 should attend both the workshop and the review segment. You may choose to attend the segments in any order and in any combination.
You will receive detailed information to join virtual segments by zoom in a reminder email 12 hours prior to the meeting.
Please contact Martha Gardner, at mgardner@diomass.org or 617.482.4826 x403 if you have any questions.
