Snowshoe Treasure Hunt

Sunday February 6th, 2022 | 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm

Families will love learning two great ways to spend valuable time together in the out-of-doors - snowshoeing and treasure hunting! Like geocaching, families will search for hidden treasures guided by GPS devices, while traversing HNC's beautiful grounds by snowshoe. Weather dependent. Event continues as a hike if less than 4" of snow.

Howell Nature Center Treasure Hunts are self-sustaining, and participants who plan on keeping a few treasures are asked to leave a few treasures of their own behind! Treasures should be appropriate for school and should fit inside of a mason jar. Treasure examples: bouncy ball, army men or anything that the next person might find interesting.

Ages 5+

General Admission: $12 per person

Member Admission: $10 per person

Event meets in the Pineview Lodge. In general, we ask that all participants wear appropriate footwear and apparel for the weather.

To mitigate the spread of COVID-19 and in an abundance of a caution for the safety of our community and staff, we are following the protocols below for all upcoming Community Events. We will continue to evaluate and update our policies as needed.

All HNC staff will wear masks
Regardless of vaccination status, all guests are REQUIRED to wear masks indoors or when 6ft social distancing is not possible
In general, we are encouraging social distancing between unrelated groups
