PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

To provide an understanding of what opioids and opioid use disorder are, how individuals can become addicted, the signs of addiction, and what actions an employer can take regarding addiction in the workplace.

OBJECTIVES

After viewing this presentation individual will be able to:

• Define what opioids are.
• Understand what opioid use disorder is and how someone can become addicted to opioids.
• Be able to identify signs of addiction.
• Describe what actions an employer can take regarding opioid use within the workplace.
  
• Understand what physicans can do when it comes to preventing the "opioid epidemic".
