Beyond the Fundamentals:

Advanced Human Trafficking Training for Advocates

Thursday, May 26, 2022

9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. (EST)

Advocates working with domestic violence survivors are also likely to encounter human trafficking victimization and need to be prepared to respond appropriately. However, even experienced advocates may struggle to know the following steps to meet the unique needs of human trafficking survivors seeking safety and healing.

Join us for a training that goes beyond the basics of human trafficking advocacy. Participants will learn advanced skills to appropriately screen for human trafficking, respond to the needs of underserved survivors, and serve victims of labor trafficking. In addition, advocates, law enforcement, and survivors will share their perspectives and expertise on best combatting human trafficking and empowering survivors.

This training is considered a 201-level course and will cover topics beyond the fundamental concepts of human trafficking victimization. Individuals who wish to attend this training and have not attended previous Human Trafficking 101 trainings are encouraged to complete the E-Learning module Human Trafficking and Domestic Violence Advocacy at the Intersections on ODVN's Online Learning Academy.
