- Escape for a weekend and learn ancient skills! Disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature. This weekend will focus on learning to master flint knapping, atlatl, fire by friction with a bow drill, and weaving pine needle baskets. Naturalists from Iowa DNR, Shelby County Conservation and Louisa County Conservation will be hosting the event.
- The weekend will be hosted at Sherburne House at Springbrook State Park. This cabin is nestled in a 10-acre wooded area on the park's west side, with a scenic overlook and great opportunitties to view wildlife. The cabin has four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two living rooms and a full service kitchen. Communal lodging is provided.
