What it is ALL ABOUT: Annually, the City of Bowling Green offers an educational event to provide their certified Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) Contractors anopportunity to extend their certification. In 2019, and now again in 2022, the City is partnering with the International Erosion Control Association to offer a Field Day event. Dubbed “Muddy Water Blues”,the event will bring together many different regional contractors, regulators, and vendors to discuss thelatest in staying compliant with state and local requirements for EPSC.

Wednesday, March 23, 2022: Seated regulatory introductions and presentations will open the event at Sloan Convention Center.  After lunch has concluded, attendees will make their way to our Field Day location, adjacent to the BGWC Airport, where they will be divided into smaller groups and rotated through stations.  Exhibitors showcasing their proprietary products and services will also be incorporated into the rotations.  To extend their certification, EPSC certified contractors will be required to rotate through stations where they will receive instructions on proper installation techniques and the appropriate application of BMPs such as silt fence, wattles, mats, rock checks, and more. Any donations are welcomed and will be recognized at the installation site. Participating as an exhibitor offers your organization an opportunity to connect with hundreds of industry delegates and to showcase your company’s products and services.  Muddy Water Blues will provide your organization the unique opportunity to increase its visibility, enhance its strategic marketing objectives, and reach key market segments in this 8-state region and beyond.
