Dr. Karyn Harvey

The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) is hosting a Trauma Informed training, led by Dr. Karyn Harvey. The training is broken into two 2-hour sessions, and is open to anyone who would like to learn more about trauma and how it affects people with intelectual and developmental disabilities, as well as the people that work with this population.

As an understanding of trauma is becoming more important than ever in supporting people, consider becoming a trainer for your agency.  Attendance to this training is a pre-requisite for anyone who wants to take the upcoming July Trainer Training.  Those that complete the Trainer training will be able to lead Trauma Informed training at their agency.

The DDA will offer a Trainer program to allow staff to facilitate Trauma Informed Care trainings.  This four-day interactive program will be led by Dr. Harvey.  If you are interested, please click below. Applicants will be considered based on your agency's need. Click on the link below if you are interested.

The dates for upcoming Trauma Informed trainer session will be on July 25 through July 28,  from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m each day. Applicants must have had participated in the pre-requisite sessions held in June.
