Encountering Modern Slavery

JOIN US at a weekend of Encounter, Spiritual Reflection, and Fellowship, for Young Adults aged 19-29, exploring the theme of

Migration, Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery

- an issue that affects millions across the world in every country, yet it remains an issue many have little awareness of.

Who: Young Adults aged 19-29 from across Europe. Multi-denominational.

The program will be delivered in English therefore sufficient English language skill is required. Places are limited to 30 participants and will be allocated on a first come-first served basis.

What:

  • Encounter individuals who can speak personally of their lived experience of migration, modern slavery and human trafficking
  • Encounter biblical reflections and practical tools that help people to see how they might already be coming across modern slavery without knowing it, and importantly, what we can do about it!
  • Encounter the particularity of Italy in the story of migration and human trafficking
  • Encounter other young adults from the Europe-wide Ecumenical community in fellowship and common interest
  • Encounter church leaders from different denominations, and for them to hear the perspective of a diverse group of young adults on the issue of Modern Slavery

Where: Roma Scout Center, Largo dello Scautismo 1, 00162 Rome

When: start 6pm Fri 3rd June – finish 2pm Sunday 5th June 2022
