This year's International Women's Day theme is "Break the Bias" and the BCCTC will host a 2-day hybrid event on March 7th and 8th, 2022.

1. ~ Virtual ~ Panel Sessions ~ Monday March 7, 2022 - starting at 11:00 AM EST

Join us for online panel discussions with women leaders who will share their unique stories to gain insight on how to succeed in today's evolving world of business and how to challenge bias in the economy.

Jackie Crooks, CCO at Kinsetsu Limited Northern Ireland and Debbie Goodleff, Senior Trade Officer, UK Defence & Security Exports, Department for International Trade, British High Commission, will join Maria Schwarz from R.J. McGregor & Associates in the Women in Security, Defense & Military Industries Panel.

We will finalize this virtual session wiht a conversation on Gender Responsive Budgeting. One of the many impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic has been a notable exacerbation of gender inequality. Women have suffered disproportionally in the labour market, unpaid and informal economies and for women in other marginalized communities, the impacts have been substantially worse.

The economic recovery packages that follow the pandemic must account for these gendered consequences and help redress the disparities that are still widening.

2. ~ In person ~ Toronto, Ontario, Tuesday March 8, 2022, starting at 6:30 PM EST

Join us and meet amazing business high-achievers, female thought-leaders, entrepreneurs, innovators, visionaries.

The BCCTC has joined the global network International Women's Day in celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.

Let's celebrate and network ~ in person!  All genders are welcome.
