2022 Black Bass World Championship Boat Captain Volunteers
We need volunteer Boat Captains with boats to join an international team for five (5) days on Lake Murray. You will be driving your boat with two (2) anglers from take-off to check-in each day.

Dates: October 18-22, 2022 (Tuesday – Saturday)
10/18/2022 Tuesday - offical practice day
10/19/2022 Wednesday - offical practice day
10/20/2022 Thursday - competition day
10/21/2022 Friday - competition day
10/22/2022 Saturday - competition day
Daily Time Schedule:
6:30AM-7:00AM Launch
7:00AM-7:30AM Meet your anglers
8:00AM-4:00PM Take- off and Competition Fishing
4:00PM-4:30 PM Check-in

What is a Boat Captain?
Driver of his own boat, assigned to the same two anglers for five consecutive days of the World Championship, taking them safely to their requested fishing locations on Lake Murray.
What we provide - Boat Captain Package:
$500.00 check paid on the final day, for five days of volunteering
An official 2022 XVI World Black Bass Championship Cap
Daily lunches and water for your boat
Daily Ice for your boat
Boat Number Sticker
You will be reimbursed for boat gas used (turn in receipts)

What we need from you:
Bass boat (minimum 18’) with 150hp - 250hp
Operating electric trolling motor on bow
Working livewell
Marine electronics on dash and bow
Three life jackets for you and your anglers to wear when under way
Dip net
Bring your foul weather gear
Fully charged boat batteries each day
A current boater’s liability insurance policy
Willingness to be a great host to international anglers
What you do on the boat:
Drive anglers to locations they want to fish
Ensure boats stay a minimum of 50m (55 yards) apart when lines are in
Ensure all fish are netted
Ensure no fish is intentionally snagged
NEVER provide fishing information to any competitors
Report any irregularities to the event organizer
