Join us in Columbia at the S.C. Press Association's office on Friday, March 18, from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. for a day of training and celebrating collegiate journalism in the Palmetto State!

Schedule of Events:

9:30 – 10 a.m. | Registration, snacks and newspaper swap

10 – 10:45 a.m. | FOI/Legal Refresher | Featuring SCPA Attorney Taylor Smith

10:45 – 11 a.m. | Break

11 a.m. – noon | Panel Discussion: Getting a Job or Internships (with general advice on entering the working world) | Featuring SCPA member editors

Noon – 12:45 p.m. | Lunch (Chick-fil-a box lunch. Vegetarian/vegan options)

12:45 – 1:30 p.m. | Roundtable Discussions

1:30 – 1:45 p.m. | Break

1:45 – 2:15 p.m. | Awards Presentation

2:15 – 2:30 p.m. | Group Photos

The cost to attend is only $15, which includes lunch from Chick-Fil-A, snacks and drinks. The deadline to register is Friday, March 9.

When registering, you must select pay online by credit card or pay by check. If you select pay by check, you can mail a check to SCPA or we will send you an invoice that can be paid later.
