SPEAKERS:
Dr Kevin McKenna, CISWA President, Former DVC International, Curtin University
Kevin has had extensive experience in the international education sector with over 30 years at Curtin University. He had various roles in Curtin Business School, including as Executive Dean, until in June 2000 he was appointed as the founding Pro Vice-Chancellor at Curtin University of Technology’s Malaysian Campus in Miri, Sarawak.
From 2004 to 2009 he had overall responsibility for all of Curtin’s international operations, as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, International. In 2008 he was responsible for the establishment of Curtin’s Singapore campus. He is now retired and is currently the President of CISWA.
Leanne Everett, General Manager, Training Division, Skill Hire/Nara Training WA
Leanne is an Education & Training specialist with 22 years’ experience in International Education. She worked in a variety of training providers including family-owned and operated businesses as well as larger publicly listed Registered Training Organisations. Leanne is passionate about mentoring staff, education outcomes for students, continuous improvement, compliance & quality assurance, and business development.
Pankaj Pathak, Managing Director, Phoenix Academy
Pankaj Pathak is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Phoenix Academy. He has worked in International Education for over 15 years with experience across the School, VET, and Higher Education sector.
Pankaj started his career with Phoenix Academy as the Director of Marketing and Student Services in 2008 moving to Curtin University undertaking Business Development and Intelligence. In 2015 Pankaj joined Curtin College (Navitas) as Director of Marketing and Recruitment where he was also responsible for the Singapore and Sydney operations.
Having graduated with a Bachelor of Business and Master of International Business from the University of Notre Dame, Australia Pankaj originally arrived as an international student from Botswana.
Pankaj is the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Botswana and the recipient of the WA Business Top 40 Under 40 Award.
