Job Foundation & Transition Community of Practice

The next Washington State Job Foundation and Transition Community of Practice Series event will take place on March 15th from 1:00 to 2:30 PST.  This session will focus on three rural counties in eastern Washington State that have developed transition networks to further advance best practices and provide information and education to families, schools and community partners. These efforts strengthen knowledge and resources for technical assistance and training for educators. Hear directly from Yakima, Benton and Franklin counties as they support transition-age students, their families and community partners.

The series is running on the third Tuesday of each month from 1:00 to 2:30, through the month of June.  All transition stakeholders are invited to attend, including employment providers, school representatives, DVR counselors, DDA case managers, counties, students and families.  Come learn about the Job Foundation program and help increase employment outcomes for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in your community. Join us if you have something to share, want to learn more, or if you need specific help with the Job Foundation report. These Community of Practice events will be loosely structured around a topic related to the Job Foundation program and transition services. They are designed to be flexible in meeting the needs of those engaging in transition services in their local communities. We look forward to seeing you!
