Spring 2022 Big Tree Tour 

The inimitable Joe Howard has has once again graciously offered to lead a Spring tour of big tree champions in the Chevy Chase area. Most of the trees we'll see are at private homes.  We'll visit champions of the following trees:  Shagbark hickory, Burr oak, Honeylocust, Post Oak, Deodar cedar, Siberian elm and Pecan. On the grounds of Audubon Naturalist Society lives the champion Atlas cedar. All are awe inspiring and this is a rare chance to see most of them.

With Covid restrictions lifted, we are again able to rent a bus. Meet starting at 9:15 AM - parking lot of Chevy Chase Elementary School, 4015 Rosemary St., Chevy Chase, 2081. $30 per participant, in advance
