This panel will discuss the recent Colombian rules on UBO’s registration, their impact for foreign and resident individuals and the interaction between the UBO regime with domestic rules as well as FATCA and CRS.

Mr. Castillo Cottin opened our legal practice in Colombia, Rimon’s first Latin American office, to focus on Trusts & Estates and Tax law. He advises multijurisdictional enterprises, financial institutions, and high-net-worth individuals and families on wealth management matters, international tax law, planning, and compliance, inheritance and estate planning, exchange of information, and amnesty programs.

Marina joined JTC with more than 18 years of experience working with UHNW individuals and international HNW families, with a focus on Latin America, providing tailor made solutions for their estate planning needs.

Marina is a Trust and Estates Practitioner (TEP), an active STEP member and currently serves as Vice chair STEP New York, co-chair Events Committee; she is a member of the International Bar Association, and a founding board member of the Argentine Lawyers Association of New York. Marina is admitted to practice law by the Bar Association of the City of Buenos Aires. Marina is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian.
