Opioid Awareness Summit for Educators & Public Health Professionals

Perfect for educators, school nurses, counselors, mental health clinicians, substance use clinicians, coaches, parents, or anyone with an interest in student health, prevention, policymaking, and related fields.

 

Event is free; CE accreditation pending.  Light breakfast and lunch provided.  Seating is limited!

  • Statistical analysis of the opioid epidemic in our region.
  • Trends and emerging threats facing our youth.
  • Risk factors that a youth will misuse opioids or other controlled substances.
  • Progression of addiction and the devastating impacts of stigmatization.
  • Prevention/intervention strategies.
  • Classroom-ready resources to assist youth.

Registration is required.  No walk-ins or day-of registration will be permitted.  Registration is not final until you receive a confirmation email.
