Although the "core" of the ASME Milwaukee Section is located in and around Milwaukee, our members are from Eastern Wisconsin, Madison, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We are an active section and have very active student sub-sections at UW-Madison, UW-Milwaukee, Marquette University, Milwaukee School of Engineering and Michigan Tech. The ASME Milwaukee Section would like to welcome everyone back for our first in-person event in two years! We would like to thank everyone for their support by joining us virtually during this time of social distancing in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although we weren't able to be in person during this time, we were able to provide educational webinars and speakers that might not have been available for a normal, in-person event.
However, we have been given the "all clear" and are allowed to meet in person again. Therefore, our April event is more about gathering back together as a community of Mechanical Engineers and thanking everyone for hanging in there during some rough times.
Our April event will be held in person at Alioto's in Wauwatosa. We will gather starting around 5pm with dinner at 6pm. There will be a cash bar and during the registration process we will ask you to chose a dinner entree (Breaded Pork Chops, Chicken Normandy, or Baked Cod). Dinner includes salad, bread, coffee & dessert.
Most importantly, Every Member & Student is FREE to attend!!!
At 7pm we will hold our annual elections of new officers and then move into our presentation section which will include updates from our ASME Student Sections at Marquette, MSOE, UWM, UW Madison, UW Parkside and Michigan Tech. Student sections will be allowed to discuss projects and competitions that they are working on and there will be ample time for questions and answers along with networking.
If you are not able to join us for dinner or you would feel more comfortable joining us virtually, we ask that you register to join us virtually and we will send you a Microsoft TEAMS link before the meeting. More information will be provided but most likely you will be allowed to join us around 6:50 PM online before the 7 pm Elections begin.
