Tonier Cain, Trauma Survivor and Trauma-Informed Care Expert 

Join us for an uplifting weekend featuring international trauma-informed care expert and trauma survivor Tonier Cain visiting from Maryland! We will offer a provider training Saturday morning, a Saturday evening celebration and keynote, and a Sunday morning service all featuring Tonier and her incredible story. 

**All events are offered at no cost, but registration is required.**

Saturday August 6th
Morning Trauma-Informed Care Training 

9:30am Continental Breakfast provided by Shaw’s Supermarkets, West Brockton
10:00am-12:00pm Provider Trauma-Informed Care Training with Tonier Cain (RICH Approach Respect, Information, Connection, Hope)

This training uses biblical principles to explain the six primary components of trauma informed practices. It’s a training that defines trauma and trauma-informed services and its practices. It shares the key principles, core assumptions and core elements of trauma-informed organizations and service providers. By the end of this training participants will be better equipped to help guide people towards healing and a healthy lifestyle. R.I.C.H. stands for:

  • Respect – learning the tone, body language and the responsibilities of respecting people.
  • Information/Individuality – develop a trauma informed practice to serve clients as individuals understanding the need to gather accurate information from them.
  • Connection – practice effective ways to connect with people.
  • Hope – develop effective ways to continue believing there’s hope, no matter what it looks like.
  • Suggested attendees include: primary care providers, educators, law enforcement agencies, social workers, nonprofits and more
