Glenda Woods Girls University is a full-day summer day camp for girls in 1st-6th grade. Each week brings new adventures as girls make friends, learn about different college majors, take part in unique experiences, explore the outdoors, and grow their passion for reading, science, technology, engineering, art, and math.

Grades of Campers: Girls must be enrolled in 1st-6th grade to participate.

Program Schedule: Check-in will begin no earlier than 7:30am; daily program activities run from approximately 9:00am through 5:00pm. Families have until 6:00pm to pick up their child. Girls must be signed in and out each day. Please note, a $15 late fee per child will be charged for students picked up after 6:15pm.

Please Note: If you're sending more than one girl to GWGU Summer Camp, each girl needs to be registered separately and our online system will not let you use the same email address to sign them up. You will need to use a different email address or you can contact Amber Marcil at amarcil@girlsincsa.org for a hard copy registration packet. Please let us know if you run into any issues during your online registration process.

Camp Tuition = $125/week per girl
A $10 non-refunable application fee will be charged at the time of registration.

Special Discounts:
Family: 1st girl fee of $125/week; second child and each child after fee of $75/week (additional family members must be dependents residing in the same household)

Program Scholarships:
Program scholarships are available for those who qualify and subject to availability. Parents/Guardians must provide proof of income for all adults in the household. Our maximum scholarship award amount is $65 per week. Please submit all required documents at the time of registration; incomplete paperwork cannot be processed.

Discounts cannot be combined with program scholarships. Deadline to apply for discounts and/or scholarships is Friday, June 3rd at 3:00pm.

Weekly Camp Sessions

Week 1 (June 6-10): Strong, Smart, Bold! - All Spots Are Filled!
We will begin camp with exploring what it means to be a leader in Girls Inc. Campers will participate in a variety of activities centered around teambuilding, communication and leadership. This week will be a great foundation to familiarize girls with each other and the Girls Inc. mission. Majors: Communications/Management/Sociology

Week 2 (June 13-17): Fly Me to the Moon! - All Spots Are Filled!
With out of this world topics such as astronomy, air and space engineering, and historical impacts of space, campers will get a full STEM experience all while learning how the universe (or mulitverse) impacts their world. Majors: Astronomy/Air & Space Science/Mathematics

Week 3 (June 20-24): Represent! - All Spots Are Filled!
This week girls will explore governmental affairs, advocacy, and their rights and liberties. Campers will ask the questions: Who holds the power? Who's in the news? What are my rights? How can I advocate for others? Girls will work together to complete a mini advocacy project to spark change in our community! Majors: Political Science/Public Administration/Women & Gender Studies

Week 4 (June 27 - July 1): Okay, Bloomer - All Spots Are Filled!
We only have one planet and we need to care for it. This week camp centers around ecosystems, botany, and protecting our planet through various means. Campers will learn how what we consume impacts our planet and how we can be "green". Majors: Botany/Biology/Environmental Science/Geology

Week 5 (July 5-8): Sis, Do You Even Lift? - All Spots Are Filled!
This week will be filled with physical activity, healthy competition, and teamwork. Girls will participate in activities revolving around anatomy, physiology, nutrition, and exercise teaching them how to be positive and get each other a sporting chance. Majors: Kinesiology/Health & Exercise Sciences/Sports Management

Week 6 (July 11-15): From Microscopic to Monstrous! - All Spots Are Filled!
It’s Animal Week!! A Girls Inc. classic, this week will host a myriad of topics from veterinary science to entomology and zoology. Girls will learn the responsibilities of taking care of pets and what it takes to be stewards of habitats all around the world. Majors: Zoology/Veterinary Science/Entomology

Week 7 (July 18-22): Art Week - All Spots Are Filled!
Calling all creators! Get ready to tap into your creative side with activities such as painting, pottery, mixed media, and more! Join Girls inc. to express yourself and channel your inner artist. Majors: Art/Art History/Museum Curation/Graphic Design

Week 8 (July 25-29): You Put the Muse in Music
Girls Inc. on Broadway? This week, girls will be able to showcase their unique talents and learn about what it takes to put on a production. Activities with music theory, set design, and direction will have campers working together to put on a talent show at the end of the week. Majors: Theatre Arts/Music Performance & Composition
