For guests interested in staying the night at the Inn at St. John's, a hotel block has been set aside. To receive the block rate, please reference the name of the event: Army Birthday Ball. Reservations must be made by June 3.

To reserve you room, call the Inn at St John's; 734/414-0600, prompt #1. 

If you prefer to book online, there will be a room registration link in the confirmation email, that you receive after completing your registration. (Don't forget to check your Spam Folder, if you don't immediately see your confirmation.)

The Association of the United States Army Arsenal of Democracy Chapter cordially invites you to attend the 247th Army Birthday Ball.

This year’s event will be held at The Inn at St. John's, in Plymouth, MI, beginning with a reception and receiving line at 5:00 PM, followed by dinner and the formal program at 6:30 PM.

The Army Birthday Ball is open to Army Leaders, Soldiers, Civilians, Military Family Members, Veterans and Industry Partners wanting to attend & support the U.S. Army & the Detroit Arsenal Community.

Highlights of the 247th Army Birthday Ball will include:

  •      Formal Portraits 
  •      Photo Booth with fun props 
  •      Special Keynote Speaker
  •      Cake Cutting Ceremony
  •      DJ Dancing (following dinner program – 11:00 PM)

Menu: Choose One (All Entrees include Salad, Vegetable, Starch and Dessert)

  •      Roasted Portobella-Red Pepper Tian
  •      Phyllo-Crusted Michigan Lakes Whitefish
  •      Five-Hour-Braised Boneless Short Rib
  •      Modern Chicken Marsala

Dress Code:

The Army Birthday Ball is a formal event, and the attire for civilians is formal evening wear or black tie. Military uniform is Army Service Dress/Dress Mess/Class A with white shirt and bow tie, or equivalent for other services.

Note: You do not need a PayPal account to pay by credit card. This charge will show as 'AUSAEVENT' on your statement.  If paying by check please print confirmation email and send with check.

You will be directed to enter contact information for the primary registrant, along with meal selection. You can then add up to 9 additional registrants with individual menu options for each. On the lower portion of the registration page, you will enter the total number of each meal option at each cost level. If you are purchasing for a group and wish to be seated together, please indicate that in the Special/Seating Requests section. If you are part of a group and are each registering individually, a common group identifier should be provided in the comments section by each registrant. We will make every effort to accommodate all requests. Tables will seat 8 or 10 guests.  If you would like to sponsor a Soldier &/or their guest, please add their dinner meal quantity to the Dinner Options section on the registration page.  If the Soldier &/or guest name is unknown, AUSA will work with TACOM LCMC to identify a Soldier &/or guest.
